MAYTAG TECHNICIANS SERVICE TRAINING SCHOOL SUCCESS

Legendary Maytag Worldwide Commercial Service Manager, Bobby Drummond, flew in from America to personally conduct our latest Remote Area Service Technicians training school held on 3rd June. Accompanying him was John Barratt – Maytag’s Australia based Asia & Oceania Region Sales Manager

Twenty participants from remote areas around the State gathered at our Welshpool showroom/warehouse and were very impressed with the Drummond training techniques. Even the most experienced Technicians said they benefitted greatly from this ‘hands on’ trouble shooting course in washing machine fault finding, maintenance and repair.

Upon completion the 20 participants were given a Certificate of course completion, workshop technical manuals and DVD’s to help them on their return to work.

The Drummond roadshow then flew to Darwin where 18 participants from the Northern Territory (and a few from as far away as Broome in WA were treated to the same excellent tuition on June 6th.

Like most remote areas the Northern Territory outback has its own share of problems—remote areas do not always have ‘clean power’ and this can cause electronics hitches—some only require simple re-set fixes, some are not so simple. Water supply and quality can also present problems.

Bobby Drummond addressed these and other issues from his wide range of experience and attendees were impressed with his ability to pass on his tips and wrinkles in plain language.
