When it comes to the cash VS card debate, the world is a very different place from what it was just a decade ago with the Reserve Bank of Australia reported that card payments have had an average annual growth of 11per cent over the past 10 years.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further sped up the transition to card, with the passing back and forth of cash becoming a transmission risk and many businesses now taking card as their preferred or only method of payment.

Also, with card payments now available through mobile phones, many no longer see the need to carry a wallet at all. Ultimately, everyday cash becomes more and more phased out.

In today’s article, we will continue our series exploring our reasons for recommending card reader washing machines and dryers for all our clients.

Ease of Use

As discussed above, most Aussies now use card as their primary form of payment.

Therefore, your machines will seem much more appealing to customers if they can simply tap their card to do their laundry rather than having to dig through the couch cushions or under their car seats to find spare change for the machines. There is much less preparation involved in using a card, no counting out of coin, just simply gathering your laundry and slipping a card (or their mobile phone!) in their back pocket.

Essentially, the more straightforward the experience, the more likely customers are to use your laundry machines.

Also, using card machines is much easier on you or your staff, as you receive the payments straight into your bank account, instead of having to go around and gather coins from each machine, count them and bank them.
